An entry into the January ‘08 Ozone Asylum 20-line competition. That is, to write the most interesting or impressive artistic piece is twenty or fewer lines of code as possible.

The theme for this competition was “dynamics.” A tree, growing from a seed (or being painted upon canvas) seemed to fit the bill, albeit tangentially.
